Grand Duke Rylan Roth of Winchester is a supporting character in the Remarried Empress. He is a relative of Emperor Sovieshu's and next in line to succeed the Eastern Empire's throne in the event that Sovieshu does not produce an heir, though it is widely accepted that his son, Lord Scherl, would take the throne in his place.
Personality[]
The Grand Duke is described as a man who has no interest in being the head of power, aka taking the throne if Sovieshu does not produce an heir, but he has a very deep thirst for power, he would often send in bribes (mostly to Navier) to be able to request any favors from the Emperor or Empress. He is a manipulative man who would place his son, Scherl, on the throne and take advantage of his meek and timid personality.

In the WEBTOON he can be seen as a broad shouldered man with fair skin, deep blue eyes and dark brown hair.

- Lord Scherl: Scherl is the Grand Duke's son. Not much is known about their relationship, but Sovieshu clearly believes that Rylan would manipulate his son if he was placed on the throne.
- Sovieshu: Sovieshu is the Grand Duke's family member, although their exact relationship is unknown, it can be assumed they are cousins. Sovieshu doesn't think highly of Rylan or his ability to run the country.
